In just a few years, NERC has held an impressive amount of competitions. From a small 4ft box in the middle of a hotel lobby to the hi-tech set up at The Lazy Toad Bar and Grill, NERC has highlighted some best bot matches on the east coast. Below are some pictures from various events held over the years.

June 2003
This was a joint effort between Pound of Pain and NERC...actually Rob Masek from POP did most of the work and we showed up. POP was the most polished competition...music, anouncer and even projectors for the brackets...oh yeah, the bots kicked ass too! It was definitely worth the trip to New Hampshire.
February 2003
Held during the biggest motorsports gathering in Pennsylvania, NERC brings robot comabt to hundreds of onlookers in stadium seating. This is the largest event for NERC.
November 2002
"Fuzzy" Mauldin was gracious enough to let NERC be the first to test out the new box at The Lazy Toad Bar and Grille. This was also the first event to allow lightweights to compete plus a special middleweight demo.
August 2002
The first event solely organized by NERC...meaning, no negotiating for a space, no time tables and no other miscellanous politics. Over 50 competitors crammed inside a hotel meeting room for one of the best NERC competitions.
March 2002
Held during the East Coast Hobby Show, this event was the debut of the controversial steel floor that many low clearence bots had trouble navigating.
September 2001
The small box was moved inside the "vendor room" this time, right next to a guy who sold swords to slay dragons. This event had some of the best 12 lb matches and was the debut of the Ant Arena.
September 2001
NERC's first and only trip to the midwest. Held during the International Hobby Show, this was the debut of the 16x16 arena with wooden floor. This was also the first time 30 lb bots were included in the competition. The Ant weights competed on the 256 sq ft....hence the reason to build the Ant Arena.

March 2001
The first official NERC competition. Held at the East Coast Hobby Show this contest hosted Ants and 12 lb bots. Builders got a lesson on how to built a bot in 10 min.
